World's largest automaker, General Motors has launched its most anticipated Chevrolet Beat small car model in the car market in India. Indian car market is dominated by small hatchback cars as more than 70% of car buyers fall into this segment with the launch of the Chevrolet Beat the company plans to capture more market share. The company has launched only petrol variants of Chevrolet Beat, with three variants. The three variants are powered by the engine of the same capacity to produce maximum power 80.5PS. Chevrolet Beat style has sharp features, both for interiors and exteriors. The Chevrolet Beat price falls in the range of R 3.34 to R 3.94 lacs lacquers. The front of the Chevrolet Beat is very elegant and modern, with its large headlights and front grille with bold commission. General Motors has also made the rear of the Chevrolet Beat attractive chrome-edged tail lights. Chevrolet Beat has generated great interest in the Indian car market due to its sleek and modern, advanced features available at lower price.

Description 

Spain General Motors launched the Chevrolet Beat only petrol engine option but is available in three variants. The three variants of the Chevrolet Beat are powered by the engine of the same capacity but differ in terms of luxury and other features. The three variants of the Chevrolet Beat are equipped with the 1.2L engine, 1199cc, petrol 16valve DOHC 80.5PS producing maximum power with 108Nm of torque from the engine and provides excellent performance. This higher level of performance power and torque acceleration and excellent performance as the car does not vibrate even after 100kmph speed. Apart from the acceleration and performance Chevrolet Beat mileage is much better compared to other models in this segment. According to ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India), the Chevrolet Beat offers 18.6kmpl mileage standard test conditions.

General Motors India has launched Chevrolet Beat with only petrol engine option. All three variants of Chevrolet Beat are equipped with the 1.2L, 1199cc, 16-Valve DOHC, STEC II petrol engine with five speed manual transmission gearbox. This petrol engine with Port Deactivation Technology reduces the noise and enhances the fuel efficiency and enables the Chevrolet Beat to offer mileage 14.5kmpl in city and 18.6kmpl on highway.

As we already discussed that that Chevrolet Beat is available with only petrol engine option. Chevrolet Beat is powered by the 1.2L, 1199cc, 4-Cylinders, 16-Valve, DOHC, STEC II petrol engine with five speed manual transmission gearbox. This engine can produce 80.5PS of maximum power at 6200rpm with 108Nm of maximum torque at 4400rpm. This higher level of power and torque results excellent acceleration and engine performance thus the car never vibrates even after 100kmph mark. .

Engine options in DriveTech4 Indica Vista

Indica Vista DriveTech4 was the first car to have engine partner Fiat. It is available with three engine options:

•  Petrol 1172cc - Max Power: 64 BHP - Maximum torque: 96 Nm
• 1248cc Diesel - Max Power: 74 BHP - Maximum torque: 190 Nm
• 1405cc Diesel - Max power: 70 hp - Max torque: 135 Nm

The petrol version of Indica Vista is DriveTech4 seriously underpowered. Vista is not a light car and a petrol engine 64 hp is not the way forward here. Indica Vista features DriveTech4 technology. The Quadrajet is also called Multijet and is also produced by Maruti Suzuki Power train for the Swift and Swift Dzire models. The Indica Vista 1.3L BS4 DriveTech4 is perfectly coupled with a gearbox 5 speed Eurotech giving higher torque, quiet operation and minimal vibration super low NVH, and precise gear, engine life and cooled exhaust gas recirculation for reduce emissions.
The Indica Vista 1.2L BS4 is again perfectly mated DriveTech4 Eurotech 5-speed gearbox for increased energy efficiency, the increased sophistication of gear changes smoother and cooled exhaust gas recirculation to reduce emissions. The engines and cars will be assembled at Tata-Fiat plant in Ranjangaon which boasts an annual production capacity of 200,000 cars and 300,000 engines. A total investment of Rs 4,020 crore is made by 50: 50 combined in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra.

Electronic stability control

Electronic stability control (ESC) is a computer technology that improves the security of the stability of a vehicle by detecting and minimizing the skids. When ESC detects loss of steering control, it automatically applies the brakes to help "steer" the vehicle where the driver intends to go. Braking is automatically applied to each wheel as the outside front wheel to counter oversteer or the inside rear wheel to fight against understeer. Some ESC systems also reduce engine power until control is restored. ESC does not improve performance by turning a vehicle on the contrary, it helps to minimize the loss of control. IIHS and NHTSA, one third of fatal accidents could be avoided by technology.
