The German manufacturer of cars BMW is on the finishing stage to launch its luxury car flagship X1 in a week. This SUV will stand as the least expensive among the lakhs RS23 segment and will be available in both gasoline and diesel. There will be two basic models, BMW X1 BMW X1 Corporate Edition and Highline, the petrol version is 1.8 and the diesel engine with the 2.0 L.
The car will be assembled in the factory in Chennai, imported CKD and the future of the car will be manufactured in India. X1 comes with 1955cc, 4-cylinder diesel and X1 sDrive20d to make peak power 176bhp with peak torque 35.5kgm. The speed of this car BMW will be unbeatable, 6-speed, while Corporate Edition comes with 150 hp gasoline engine 1.8lit release.
Meanwhile, BMW France has taken the position of the top luxury brand Mercedes Benz car this year. From January to November 2010, the company sold a total of 5,345 units of its cars from the 5109 cars sold by Mercedes Benz. The company also plans to invest as much as Rs 70 crore for its Indian operations by 2012.
